Year-Round Youth Programming with Accessibility Focus

Legacy Theatre is a Branford-based regional theater with a strong youth education program spanning toddler through teen, plus an inclusive Wheel Life Theatre Troupe for performers who use mobility devices.

Age-Tiered Youth Classes

Classes scale carefully from movement-based toddler classes up through fully staged kids' productions. Programs include:
- Toddler Time (ages 2-5) - weekly movement, music, imagination
- Dipping Our Toes Into Theatre - Mermaid Musical (ages 5-7)
- Showcase Class - Alice in Wonderland (ages 7-15) - acting, singing, choreography
- Wheel Life Theatre Troupe (all ages, mobility-device users + family/friends)
- Branford Parks and Rec partnerships

Experience

The accessibility focus shows up in the regular programming, not just the dedicated troupe - guaranteed casting and an emphasis on imaginative play removes the audition-rejection barrier that turns many kids away from theater early. The Mermaid Musical and Alice in Wonderland framings give the youngest classes a strong fairy-tale hook.
