Lichterman Nature Center - 65-Acre Urban Nature Center in East Memphis
65-acre urban nature center in east Memphis, operated by the Museum of Science & History (MoSH). The site is a certified arboretum with trails, a 10-acre lake, woodlands, wetlands, and a Visitor Center with live animals.
Programs for Kids
MoSH education programming. Programs include:
- Polliwogs PreK Camp (ages 4-5, half-day 9 a.m.-12 p.m.)
- Nature Explorers Camp (ages 6-12, full day 9 a.m.-3 p.m.)
- Camp activities: owl pellet dissection, lake water sampling, Plant Life Bingo, nature walks with binoculars and insect nets
- School field trips

Experience
Memphis families use Lichterman as a recurring nature destination and a structured weekly camp option. The Quince Road location is in east Memphis, reachable from I-240 and Ridgeway Road.
