The Mandarin Language and Cultural Center (MLCC) is a nonprofit Chinese-language school on Oakland Road in San Jose, teaching both heritage learners and non-Mandarin-speaking students. Classes meet Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, giving families a weekend option that fits around the regular school week.
Language Programs
MLCC offers a graded path from early phonics through middle-school heritage study, plus a separate track for complete beginners. Programs include:
- Pre-K character learning for four-year-olds
- Kindergarten phonics for five-year-olds
- Grade 1 to 8 heritage program using OCAC and MLCC-developed materials
