City-run art classes at Centennial Art Center
Metro Parks Visual Arts is Nashville's city-run arts program, headquartered at the Centennial Art Center inside Centennial Park. Classes also run at Bellevue Regional Community Center and West Park Community Center, so most neighborhoods in Nashville can access city-priced art instruction without a private-studio bill.
Classes, mini-courses, workshops
Three annual sessions (fall, winter/spring, summer) plus mini-courses and single-day workshops. Offerings include:
- Painting (watercolor, acrylic, oil)
- Pottery and hand-building
- Drawing fundamentals
- Shibori indigo dyeing
- Sculpture
- Kids' summer art programs
- Mini-courses (4-6 weeks) and day workshops (1-4 days)
