North Peoria Karate Academy on Lake Pleasant Road
North Peoria Karate Academy is a traditional Shotokan karate dojo in the North Peoria and Vistancia area, tucked into Suite 111 of a North Lake Pleasant Road plaza. The instructor staff brings over 100 years of combined martial arts experience and teaches authentic Shotokan as the primary art, complemented by Kodokan judo and jiu-jitsu material at higher levels for a complete striking-plus-grappling foundation.
Kids Martial Arts Programs
The youth program is built in two tiers, from earliest movers up through the youth Shotokan track:
- Little Dragons / kids classes from age 3 with motor-skill games and listening drills
- Youth Shotokan track for ages 5-12: kihon (stances, blocks, strikes, kicks)
- Heian kata progression and light controlled kumite drills
- Structured belt testing through the kyu ranks
- Kodokan judo and jiu-jitsu material at higher levels

- Discipline, focus, and respect emphasized at every belt
- Class hours weekday evenings Monday through Thursday
