Otay Lakes County Park is an 80-acre County of San Diego park perched above Lower Otay Reservoir on the east edge of Chula Vista. Picnic areas, hiking trails, horseshoe pits, and reservoir overlooks make it a family destination.
What Kids Can Do
The park's grassy main area has shaded picnic spots, multiple playgrounds, and a small softball field. Walking trails connect to overlooks above Lower Otay Reservoir - good wildlife viewing for waterfowl. Horseshoe pits and volleyball courts for older kids. Picnic shelters with grills bookable for parties. Adjacent to Olympic Training Center for sports-spotting [marked: reservoir swimming and shore access not allowed - viewing from overlooks only].
