Power Pole Arena
About
Specialized Skill-Development Micro Rink
Power Pole Arena is a 140' x 65' micro ice training facility on Asphalt Avenue in Tampa, built specifically for hockey skill development. The arena is split into two connected sides - one synthetic ice, one real ice - letting players run reps on both surfaces in a single session. Home of Xtra Ice Hockey programming.
Programs For Kids
Programming centers on skill reps rather than league play. Programs include:
- Stick and Shoot open ice sessions
- Xtra Ice hockey skill development for ages 18 and under
- Private and small-group skills coaching
- Individual and team ice rentals
- Power skating sessions
- Off-season summer skill blocks
What's Included
- Half-size micro rink keeps every player engaged with puck
- Two surfaces (real ice + synthetic) for varied training
- Small-group format - typical session under 15 skaters
- Stick-and-puck access for individual skaters
- Open weekday hours convenient for after-school sessions
Experience
Power Pole isn't the place for full-ice games or learn-to-play first-timers - it's the second-touch facility for travel and house players who already skate but want more puck time. Many TGH Ice Plex and AdventHealth players add Power Pole sessions to their week.
