Tampa Bay Lightning's Official Practice Facility

TGH Ice Plex (formerly Brandon Ice Sports Forum) is the official practice and training facility of the NHL Tampa Bay Lightning, an 85,000-square-foot complex on Elizabeth Place east of downtown Tampa. Two NHL-regulation ice sheets sit under one roof along with a LaserStrike laser tag arena, Centerline Café, Power Play Grill and Sports Bar, and the Rinkside Pro Shop.

Programs For Kids

Programming spans the full ladder from first-time skaters through high school competitive. Programs include:
- Learn to Skate group classes
- Hockey 101 for first-time players
- Lightning Learn to Play (8-week, ages 4-11, free equipment kit)
- Youth recreational hockey leagues
- High school hockey league
- Power skating clinics
- Conditioning classes
- Public skating sessions
- Birthday parties and group events

Experience

TGH Ice Plex is the deepest hockey program in metro Tampa - Lightning players occasionally appear at clinics and Learn to Play sessions. East Tampa location pulls families from Brandon, Riverview, Valrico, and Plant City within 15-25 minutes.
