Select Jiu Jitsu on Franklin Avenue
Select Jiu Jitsu and Martial Arts Academy sits on Franklin Avenue in west Waco, founded and coached by Lance Yager (3-stripe Black Belt) alongside a four-deep coaching staff of Black Belts: Clode Moradi, Kevin Rena, and Will Hite. The four-coach Black-Belt lineup is unusual for a mid-size Texas market and gives Select the deepest competition pedigree of any BJJ school in Waco.
Kids Jiu Jitsu Programs
The kids program is built around real self-defense skills, discipline, and confidence, with instructors bringing over 20 years of combined experience working with children. Programs include:
- Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (foundational grappling, partner safety, belt-rank progression)
- Teen Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (continued curriculum for older students)
- Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Lance Yager and senior coach instruction)
- Open mat sessions for advanced students
