SF TENNIS KIDS Club at SFSU
SF TENNIS KIDS Club operates kids tennis programming out of San Francisco State University's 14-court tennis facility on the western edge of campus near Lake Merced. The academy specializes in kids-only programming with parent & me classes for the youngest beginners and progression tracks through teens.
Junior Tennis Programs
Programs are age-tiered for kids ages 4 through 18:
- Little Champs (ages 4-5) - first racquet contact
- Champs (ages 6-8) - foundational stroke and rally
- All Stars (ages 9-12) - intermediate group classes
- Teens (age 13+) - older junior development
- QuickStart USTA-designed beginner program
- Parent & Me classes for toddler-and-parent pairs
- After-school programs and school partnerships
- Summer Camps (kids, junior, teen)
What's Included
- Court time on SFSU's 14 outdoor tennis courts
- Coaching from SF TENNIS KIDS pro staff
- Age-appropriate balls and racquets through colored-ball progression
- QuickStart equipment matched to player size
Experience
The SFSU campus location gives families south of Golden Gate Park easy access, with parking and the campus athletic facilities. Parent & Me classes stand out as an early-learning option for families with toddlers. Kids-only focus means coaches stay specialized in youth pedagogy.
