Elementary Summer Cooking Camp on the Sidwell Friends DC Campus
Sidwell Summer's DEAN Adventure Camps culinary arts program runs themed one-week sessions for kindergarten through 5th grade out of the Sidwell Friends School DC campus on Wisconsin Avenue NW.
Kids Programs
Three rotating weekly themes:
- Is it Cake? - cake decorating and sculpting projects
- The World of Sweet Imagination - candy making with branding
- Cooking Across Cultures - global recipes and international flavors
2026 sessions run from June 8 through August 14, with weekly options every week of summer. Hours are 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
What's Included
- All ingredients and equipment
- Daily sampling of dishes campers prepare
- Take-home selection of creations at the end of the week
- Pricing: $715 for a 5-day week or $615 for a 4-day week
Experience
Camp is set on Sidwell Friends' DC campus with full school facilities. Suited to elementary-age cooks who enjoy themed, creative weeks more than a continuous curriculum - each session works as a standalone, and families can mix-and-match weeks across the summer.
