Teen Summer Cooking Camp at Eckington's Union Kitchen
Summer Culinary's DC campus runs sleepaway and commuter culinary camps for ages 12-17 out of Union Kitchen Eckington, a professional commercial kitchen complex in northeast DC.
Kids Programs
2026 sessions:
- Session 1: July 20 - July 24 (commuter $1,995)
- Session 2: July 27 - July 31 (commuter $1,995)

- Daily lunch and dinner prepared and eaten in the kitchen
- Curated evening excursions (for residential campers) to Eastern Market and global-cuisine neighborhoods
Experience
Long days (10am-6pm in the kitchen) aimed at teens who want a serious, restaurant-style summer experience. No prior cooking experience required - students start with knife technique and build toward complete plated dishes, drawing on DC's globally diverse food scene for inspiration.
