SMAK Dojo (Syracuse Martial Arts Kenkyukai) on Seeley Road is an official Shibu-dojo (authorized representative) of the world-renowned Okinawa Goju-ryu Karate-do Kenkyukai Dojo in Okinawa, Japan - one of the deepest karate lineage credentials in upstate New York.

Experience
Authentic Okinawan Goju-ryu lineage is rare in mid-size markets - kids learn classical karate technique with direct curriculum ties to the parent dojo in Okinawa. Younger kids work on basic stance and kata foundations; older kids progress through full sequence of Goju-ryu kata, partner drills (kakie, bunkai) and traditional weapons exposure at advanced ranks.
