One of the Oldest Community Theaters on the West Coast
Founded in 1918, Tacoma Little Theatre has built its youth education program around six-week class sessions that meet twice weekly and culminate in fully staged productions for friends and family.
Classes for Grades 1-12
After-school, homeschool, and break-camp formats give students at every level a place to dive in. Programs include:
- After-School classes (grades 1-8)
- Homeschool acting program (grades 1-8)
- Improv (ages 12-18 and adults)
- Dance classes (all ages)
- Winter, Spring, and Summer Break Camps (grades 1-12)
- Club TLT (ages 13-19)
What's Included
- Six-week sessions Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu, 4-6pm
- Final fully staged play or musical production
- Background-checked theater artist instructors
- Scholarship funding available
Experience
Classes build performance skills alongside confidence, collaboration, and innovative thinking. The progression from short classroom exercises to a full staged show gives students concrete proof of their growth and a memory to share with family.
