Tacoma's Musical Theater Home Since 1994
Tacoma Musical Playhouse occupies the historic Narrows Theater on Sixth Avenue and specializes in the uniquely American art form of musical theater, running a youth education department alongside its Mainstage and Family Theater divisions.
CampTMP & Youth Education
Classes, camps, workshops, and full productions for ages 5-18 give kids the chance to sing, dance, and act in Broadway-style shows. Programs include:
- Acting classes for youth
- Dance training paired with acting
- Seasonal CampTMP intensives
- Youth roles in family-friendly mainstage productions

Experience
Kids learn the triple-threat skill set of singing, dancing, and acting in a community-theater setting where adults and youth share the stage. The musical focus means students leave with a polished number they can perform anywhere - and the audience experience of opening night sticks with them.
