Titlow Park
About
75-Acre Waterfront Park on Puget Sound
Titlow Park sprawls 75 acres along Puget Sound at the west edge of Tacoma - beach, hiking trails, swimming pool, salt-water saltwater estuary, and the historic Titlow Lodge (1911). One of Tacoma's most scenic family parks.
What Kids Can Do
Titlow Beach has tide pools at low tide - kids hunt for crabs, starfish, and anemones. Salt-marsh estuary boardwalk loops through Puget Sound wildlife. Outdoor Titlow Sprayground runs summers for kids to splash. Titlow Pool (heated outdoor pool) open summer for swimming. Playground with climbing structures. Three short trails including the half-mile Titlow Park Loop. Tacoma Narrows Bridge views from the shore [marked: tide pool exploration best at low tide - check tide charts before driving up].
What's Included
Free day-use of trails, beach, playground, sprayground, and shore. Titlow Pool admission separate ($5). Sprayground free.
Experience
Plan 2-4 hours. Almost entirely outdoor - bring layers (Puget Sound cool/foggy), water shoes for tide pools, swimsuit/towel for sprayground. About 5 miles west of downtown Tacoma. Free on-site parking.
