Wood Lake Nature Center - 150-Acre Refuge in Richfield
150-acre nature refuge in Richfield, just south of Minneapolis, operated by the City of Richfield. Trails wind through marsh, prairie, and woodland habitats, providing a free urban nature destination for the south Twin Cities metro.
Programs for Kids
Day camps and year-round programming through the City of Richfield. Programs include:
- Day camps for ages 3-11 (3-day sessions, some week-long for older kids)
- Naturalist-led classes
- School field trips
- Self-guided trail exploration
- Family programs

Experience
Richfield and south Minneapolis families use Wood Lake as a free recurring nature destination. The Lake Shore Drive South location is reachable from Minneapolis, Bloomington, and Edina via Cedar Avenue and the I-35W corridor.
