Downtown Honolulu's historic theater with major youth audiences program
Hawaii Theatre Center operates from the 1130 Bethel Street venue in downtown Honolulu. The Children's Theatre Programs reach more than 12,500 Pre-K through 12th grade students and families each year.
Programs for Kids and Teens
Youth audience and education programs:
- Theatre for Young Audiences (fall musical, spring musical, Shakespeare)
- Summer Intensive Theatre Camp
- Annual Punchbowl Music Festival (free, ~200 young musicians from Title I schools)
- Reduced ticket pricing for accessibility

Experience
The Center balances exposure (Theatre for Young Audiences) with hands-on training (Summer Intensive). Title I school access for the Punchbowl Festival keeps the door open to low-income families.
