Professionally Mounted Musicals for Young Performers
Korsa Musical Theater (formerly Youth Musical Theater Company / YMTC) is a year-round musical theater company that produces three fully mounted, professionally directed and designed musicals each season, all accompanied by a full live orchestra. The program brings together young singer-actors and technical theater students from 7th grade through university level.
Audition-Based Production Tracks
Students act on stage, apprentice with technical mentors, play in pit orchestras, and participate in workshops alongside professional directors and designers. Programs include:
- Mainstage musical productions (three per season)
- Pit orchestra opportunities
- Technical theatre apprenticeships
- Workshops with working theatre professionals
- Year-round company membership

Experience
The full-orchestra, professionally directed model puts students closer to a working regional theatre than a community youth group. The 7th-grade-through-university age range means high schoolers train alongside college students - useful preparation for BFA-track auditions and college-level musical theatre programs.
