Naperville Riverwalk
About
Two Miles of Brick Paths Along the DuPage River
Naperville Riverwalk runs 1.75 miles along the West Branch of the DuPage River through downtown - the city's signature park with brick paths, fountains, covered bridges, public art, and event spaces. Built by community volunteers since 1981.
What Kids Can Do
Dandelion Fountain interactive splash area runs Memorial Day through Labor Day - kids run through dancing water jets. The Carillon plays bell concerts on summer evenings. Paddleboat rentals on Quarry Lake within the Riverwalk. Several covered bridges, gazebos, and a Centennial Beach swimming/sand area at the south end. Memorial Wall and Sculpture Garden along the path teach local history [marked: paddleboat rentals and Centennial Beach charge separate fees and run May-September].
