Central Mass Out-of-School Music and Theatre Enrichment

Pakachoag Music School has provided music learning for 40 years, first in Auburn and now in Worcester, serving families from over 40 cities and towns across Central Massachusetts. Alongside private and group music, the school runs the Quinsigamond Youth Theatrical Company - a child-led, devised theatrical production program.

Quinsigamond Youth Theatrical Company

A devised-theatre format where students drive the production from script through performance. Programs include:
- Youth Theatrical Company for grades 2-8
- Child-led, devised theatrical production process
- Partnership performances with Emanuel Lutheran Church in Quinsigamond Village
- Year-round group music classes alongside theatre

Experience

Devised theatre is a less-common format for kids - rather than performing an existing script, students build the show together, which produces stronger ownership and a more original final product. The music school context means kids who do theatre here often pick up an instrument or voice training alongside.
