San Diego Tennis Center
About
San Diego Tennis Center in Point Loma
San Diego Tennis Center (SDTC) operates out of Point Loma on Canon Street, just past Shelter Island. Founded in 2018 with a mission to "create access to professional tennis programming at public facilities," SDTC reaches communities across San Diego from Otay Mesa up to Central County. The "Pay it Forward" scholarship program helps families who need financial assistance.
Junior Tennis Programs
Programs cover youth players across all skill levels:
- Junior Clinics for kids learning the game
- Spring Session (June-July)
- Summer Camps
- Skill-tiered group classes
- Private lessons available
What's Included
- Court time on public-facility outdoor courts
- Coaching from SDTC pro staff
- Age-appropriate balls and racquets for younger beginners
- Scholarship assistance through Pay it Forward program
Experience
The public-facility model keeps pricing accessible compared with country-club tennis in the area. SDTC's reach across San Diego neighborhoods - from Point Loma down to the South Bay - means families can find sessions near home. The Pay it Forward scholarship eases the cost barrier for families that need it.
