Free Botanical Garden on Casey Canal
Savannah Botanical Gardens is a 10-acre free public garden run by the Garden Club of Savannah since 1991. Formal beds, naturalistic plantings, a 2-acre pond, amphitheater, and the historic Reinhard House dating to 1846 sit on grounds along Casey Canal.
What Kids Can Do
The Children's Garden has hands-on planting beds and water features. The Bamboo Forest and Memorial Garden are favorite hide-and-seek spots. The pond hosts turtles, fish, and herons - kids can fish from designated docks. Self-guided scavenger hunts available at the entrance. The amphitheater hosts seasonal concerts and storytimes [marked: free access daylight hours - groups of 10+ should call ahead].
