Spring Creek Forest Preserve
About
300-Acre Old-Growth Forest in Suburban Garland
Spring Creek Forest Preserve is a 300-acre old-growth bottomland hardwood forest along Spring Creek - rare urban-edge wilderness in north Garland. The Preservation Society for Spring Creek Forest manages the natural area for education and nature walks.
What Kids Can Do

Picnic pavilion and restrooms at the trailhead. Educational signs identify native plants and explain Spring Creek hydrology. Monthly nature walks led by Preservation Society naturalists [marked: trails unpaved and can be muddy after rain - sturdy shoes required].
