Sonoran Desert Park on Mesa's Northeast Edge
Usery Mountain Regional Park covers 3,648 acres in the Goldfield Mountains foothills on Mesa's northeast edge. The park's Nature Center houses interpretive exhibits on Sonoran Desert ecology, with trails ranging from the easy stroller-friendly Merkle Trail to the popular Wind Cave summit hike.
Junior Ranger & Park Programs
Maricopa County Parks runs monthly ranger-guided programs plus the self-paced Junior Ranger track. Programs include:
