Washington Tennis & Education Foundation East Capitol Campus
Washington Tennis & Education Foundation (WTEF) has connected DC children to tennis and education for 70 years. The East Capitol Tennis Center on Stoddert Place SE serves as the foundation's flagship venue, mixing tennis instruction with academic enrichment, wellness programming, and life skills development. Programs run after-school during the school year and full-day in summer.
Junior Tennis Programs
Programs serve youth ages 2 through 18:
- Tennis Tots (ages 2-5) - free weekly tennis lessons for the youngest beginners
- Tiny Tots - intro for early-childhood players
- Development track (ages 4-18) - core skill-building group classes
- Performance track (ages 4-18) - competitive tournament-track training
- Academic enrichment and wellness programs alongside on-court training
- Summer programs with full-day camps
