Zoosiana, the Zoo of Acadiana, sits on 45 lush acres just south of Lafayette in Broussard. Home to 750+ animals from 130+ species - one of Louisiana's three accredited zoos with a strong family focus.
What Kids Can Do
The petting zoo lets kids get up close with goats, chickens, and Louisiana deer. Giraffe and parakeet feeding stations are daily highlights. ZooLive animal shows run hourly featuring rotating species. Safari Train ride loops the zoo - separate ticket. Playground in the center of the zoo for breaks. The Reptile House has alligators, snakes, and Louisiana native species in close-view enclosures [marked: Safari Train and animal feedings have separate paid tickets - bring extra cash].

Experience
Plan 2-4 hours. Almost entirely outdoor with shaded paths - bring sun protection, water, comfortable walking shoes. Stroller-friendly throughout. About 7 miles south of downtown Lafayette in Broussard. Free on-site parking. Open daily 9am-5pm.
