Downtown Dayton's River-Island Park With Sprayground
Island MetroPark sits on an island in the Great Miami River just north of downtown Dayton. Twelve acres of landscaped lawns, picnic shelters, a playground, and a children's sprayground make it the city's most popular family river park.
What Kids Can Do
The sprayground runs Memorial Day-Labor Day with interactive water features kids run through. Playground has traditional climbing equipment alongside the sprayground. Great Miami River Trail passes through the park - perfect first-bike ride for kids with the Riverscape Pavilion at the river's edge. Rowing Dock and Boathouse host Dayton Rowing Club programs and rentals. Fishing piers along the riverbank.
