Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark
About
Formal Gardens Plus a Children's Discovery Garden
Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark is a 26-acre garden park run by Five Rivers MetroParks along the Stillwater River. Formal English, federal, and Victorian gardens surround the Children's Discovery Garden - one of Ohio's best dedicated kid-nature spaces.
What Kids Can Do
The Children's Discovery Garden splits into three themed zones: Play & Discover with interactive sculptures and a water-pump table, Ohio Habitats featuring native prairie, woodland, and wetland mini-ecosystems, and the Backyard Garden showing vegetables and chickens. The Children's Maze made from spirea hedges is just kid-height. Stillwater Gardens formal area teaches families about garden design. Woodland trails along the Stillwater River extend the visit [marked: Children's Discovery Garden best May-October when plants are leafed out].
