West Village Bakery and Baking School

Sister Pie is a Detroit pie shop and bakery on Kercheval Street in West Village that runs a small, hands-on Baking Buddies series for kids alongside its adult baking classes.

Kids Programs

Experience

Run inside a working bakery rather than a dedicated cooking studio, so kids see the full operation around them - dough being shaped for the case, pies coming out of the oven. Best fit for families with elementary or tween-age kids who want baking specifically (not full meal prep) and an intimate, neighborhood-shop feel.
